JIM QUINN

A Familiar Face with the Right Experience

If you’ve lived in Ocean Hills Country Club for any length of time, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Jim Quinn. Jim and his wife Celia have called OHCC home for nearly 21 years — and he’s not just a resident, he’s been an active participant in the life of this community.

Jim is putting his name forward as a candidate for the OHCC Board of Directors.

With over 40 years of experience as a Financial and Budget Analyst, Jim brings a depth of fiscal expertise that few candidates can match. His career has spanned some of the most demanding industries in the private sector — real estate investment, property management, banking, and nuclear power generation. He also served as Controller for a local manufacturing company, giving him hands-on experience managing complex budgets and financial operations from the top down.

That experience translates directly to HOA governance. Jim already knows how community associations work — he served as Treasurer for the San Marcos Woods HOA, overseeing the finances of a 200-home community. Closer to home, he has spent approximately 5 years on the OHCC Budgets and Financial Advisory Committee, working alongside board members and resident committee members to analyze spending, evaluate reserves, and support sound fiscal decision-making.

Jim’s priorities for the board reflect what he has heard from his neighbors and what he believes matters most: transparency in how decisions are made and communicated, a healthy reserve fund that protects homeowners from unexpected assessments, well-maintained amenities that make OHCC a place we’re proud to live, and preserving home values.

Beyond his professional credentials, Jim is a genuine community member. He is a founding member and board member of the OHCC Doo Wop/Disco Dance Club, an active member of the Racquetball Club, and served as Commissioner of the OHCC Wiffleball League. He doesn’t just live here — he shows up.

Jim’s approach to the board is collaborative. He wants to work with current board members, not against them, bringing his analytical skills and community perspective to support good outcomes for all of OHCC.

Jim is also proud to stand alongside fellow candidates Tom Porter and Lisa Moon, who share this same commitment to a transparent, well-managed OHCC.

“I would appreciate your support and your vote.”
