Why do I want to serve on the OHCC Master Board?
The answer is simple: I want to give back to the community.
My greatest strength has always been strategic thinking—looking beyond the issue of theday and asking, “What comes next?”
While addressing current challenges is important, I believe it is equally important to plan for the future and ensure that OHCC remains a vibrant and financially sound community for years to come.
Over the past nine years as an OHCC resident, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of leadership roles, including, both President and Treasurer of the Village of Hydra, Chairperson of the Hydra Landscape Committee, Chairperson of the Council of Village Presidents, and President of the SERT Club.
These experiences have given me a broad understanding of our community, its strengths, and the issues that matter most to residents.
Professionally, I retired as Director of Human Resources and Administration for Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., where I managed payroll, healthcare benefits, retirement plans, employee performance programs, contract negotiations, legal compliance, and major facility renovation projects. My education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Leadership from Webster University and graduate studies toward a Master’s degree in Human Resources. Throughout my career, I also worked as an executive coach, conflict resolution facilitator, career counselor, and Myers-Briggs instructor.
OHCC is home to an extraordinary wealth of talent, experience, and creativity. I believe we should continue to encourage resident involvement, welcome new ideas, and develop future leaders. We have an incredible pool of knowledge within our community, and we should take advantage of that resource whenever possible.
I have never been a big fan of hearing, “We can’t do that.” Instead, I prefer to ask, “How can we make this happen?” By working together, focusing on solutions, and maintaining open communication, we can accomplish great things.
My wife and I cherish OHCC’s heritage, culture, and welcoming spirit. This is a special community, and I want to help preserve what makes it unique while thoughtfully preparing for the future. When mistakes happen, I believe we should acknowledge them, learn from them, and move forward. Clear communication builds trust, reduces rumors,and helps residents understand how decisions are made.
I believe in openness, transparency, accountability, and respectful dialogue. Together, we can continue building a strong community that reflects the values and priorities of its residents.

Village of Hydra Roofs - the Real Story

While rumors are circulating about tile roofs, possible special assessments, and what the costs could be, I want to set the record straight regarding the Village of Hydra.
On June 10, 2026, the Hydra Board of Directors held a Town Hall meeting to inform homeowners about the roof situation. This was not something the board took lightly. It was, however, the right thing to do to meet the Board’s fiduciary responsibility to the Hydra owners.
Below is a link to the presentation posted to the Village of Hydra’s website. The page also includes the Zoom recoding of the 1-hour, 34-minute meeting. There is a lot of valuable information here. Hydra also invited board members of the other Villages to share our information.

Ocean Hills Country Club – Roof Replacement Project
You will also find an update for owners that outlines potential solution to the roofing issue. On June 10, the Hydra Board released an RFP (Request for Proposal) to five roofing contractors, requesting bids for tile lift and relay. The bid request also includes replacement of all skylights, which is covered under Hydra’s CC&Rs; Hydra is the only Village that covers skylights. These bids are due no later than July 29, 2026. At that time, the Board will have a much better understanding of the actual project cost.
The second Hydra Town Hall meeting is set for August 5, 2026, when we will share the RFP results.
I can only speak for the Village of Hydra, and these are the full facts to date. As a Master Board candidate, if elected, you can expect the same straightforward communication and commitment to fiduciary responsibility, to protect all of our interests.
